Protection starts before the puppy is born.
Most protection programs start with whatever dog walks through the door. T3 starts earlier, with parents chosen for nerve, drive, grip and stability.
Most of the studs T3 breeds with are imported from Europe, including a KNPV Phase 1 male. Our females were born here in the US from imported European lines.
Every T3 dog is bred by the same trainer who will help you train it, so the plan for your puppy starts the day it goes home. And because Zac trains dogs for law enforcement and for his own family, he knows exactly what a good one needs to be.

Are Dutch Shepherds good family dogs?
In the right home, yes. A well bred, well trained Dutch Shepherd is loyal, social and steady with its family. It also needs structure, training and a real job, which is why every T3 dog goes home with a plan.
Do I need experience with working dogs?
Not necessarily. First time working dog owners do best with the puppy and first year program, so Zac is guiding the training every step of the way.
How much exercise does a Dutch Shepherd need?
A lot, and mental work matters as much as physical. Daily training, structured play and a job to do keep a working line dog happy and easy to live with.
What's the difference between a puppy, a started dog and a trained dog?
A puppy is a blank slate that you raise and train with Zac's help. A started dog already has foundation obedience and early bite work. A trained protection dog is finished and matched to your household before it goes home.
Can I get two puppies from the same litter?
No. Zac never sells two puppies from the same litter to one person or household. Littermates raised together focus on each other more than on their owners, and it becomes a headache for everyone. Training companies and law enforcement agencies are the only exception. Read more about littermate syndrome.
Should I import a puppy from Europe instead?
For most families, no. Since August 2024, dogs coming into the US have to be at least six months old, so importing a young puppy isn't an option anymore. A T3 puppy gives you European working lines, born and raised here, with Zac helping you train it.
How much does a T3 Dutch Shepherd cost?
It depends on the option and the dog. Pricing is shared with approved applicants after a call with Zac.
